How to helped a loved one with hearing loss

You would be forgiven for getting frustrated whilst trying to communicate with a loved one who has a hearing loss.

Constantly having to repeat yourself over the phone, being misunderstood or simply being ignored as your significant other just didn't hear you at all is enough to try anyone's patience.

Even a well managed hearing loss can make effective communication difficult. BUT spare a thought for the person with the hearing loss, often they feel isolated which can result in them just giving up on having a conversation altogether.

All is not lost! The above tips will help you communicate and will certainly make both yours and your loved ones life easier! You can also get more advice at www.rnid.org.uk and from your local Audiologist.
